Ellie Mackay will be presenting an overview of mason bees and mason bee homes Saturday February 6. From the Fall/Winter BICS Community Learning brochure:

Adults and youth will be fascinated to learn about mason bees and how to easily keep them in your garden. What is the difference between honeybees and mason bees? Why are mason bees non-aggressive? How do mason bees pollinate my garden? In the hands-on portion of the workshop participants will make a basic mason bee home. Price of Mason bee home materials included. Cost is $24. Registration deadline is January 29.

Please see the community learning guide or call Sarah Haxby, the Community School Coordinator, at 604-947-9337 for registration details.
